2015. I can't believe that it's already the middle of March in a brand new year. The snow is melting, the temperatures are getting warmer, and plans are being drawn. Well, not for a building for us yet, but there are lots of people that are drawing up plans for new houses, new additions, new garages... the list goes on.
We're drawing up plans for a few things too. Efficiency, Marketing, Training, Expansion.
We are in the process of gaining efficiency for a few different things. From implementing some sales techniques and programs, to inventory management, to job productions and a whole lot in between, we're looking to be a streamlined efficient operation.
When it comes to marketing, there are a ton of different things that a company can do to try and get their name out there. Everything from simple newspaper ads to complicated web stuff and more. We're working on a few select advertising projects that will help the people looking for us find us.
Another huge area of marketing is referrals. I want to personally thank each and every one of you that recommended us to a friend or family member. We're working on a referral program to thank you for those referrals that turn into jobs. Watch for more details about that coming soon!
The insulation and building science industry is ever changing and evolving, so in order to keep up with the changes and improvements, there has to be lots of training. Insulating isn't just about adding insulation to a house that's loosing heat or having ice dams, there are many more factors that need to be addressed. One area of training we do is attend Focus on Energy's 4B Conference, which is in the spring of every year. While there, we attend seminars about energy use, insulating, business practices, and talk with energy consultants, advisors, and contractors from many energy fields around the state.
On area of training we hope to take part in this year is the SPFA's Insulation Certification Program. Having this certification and training, along with our current safety training and Bayer applicator training, will help us stand out as a credible contractor in the insulation and energy efficiency market.
And the final keyword is expansion. In the fall of 2014 we were able to purchase and new and larger spray foam machine, which is more reliable in producing quality spray foam for our customers. This new machine is also increasing our production volume, which, in turn, is increasing our volume of projects that we are able to do.
We are currently working on our office area, which will increase organization and efficiency on the office end of things.
We look forward to seeing our past customers and meeting future ones at the upcoming home shows that we'll be attending this spring and let's make 2015 our best year ever!!
