Wow, it's been a couple of years since I've actually written a blog article.   This is because you, my customers, have been keeping me busy with projects and referrals.  Thank you so much for all of your support!

I'm not going to write a full fledged blog post right now, but know that we have SEVERAL exciting things to let all of you know about!

Keep checking back in!!

2015...  A year for expansion!

2015.  I can't believe that it's already the middle of March in a brand new year.  The snow is melting, the temperatures are getting warmer, and plans are being drawn.  Well, not for a building for us yet, but there are lots of people that are drawing up plans for new houses, new additions, new garages...  the list goes on.

We're drawing up plans for a few things too.  Efficiency, Marketing, Training, Expansion.

We are in the process of gaining efficiency for a few different things.  From implementing some sales techniques and programs, to inventory management, to job productions and a whole lot in between, we're looking to be a streamlined efficient operation.

When it comes to marketing, there are a ton of different things that a company can do to try and get their name out there.  Everything from simple newspaper ads to complicated web stuff and more.  We're working on a few select advertising projects that will help the people looking for us find us.

Another huge area of marketing is referrals.  I want to personally thank each and every one of you that recommended us to a friend or family member.  We're working on a referral program to thank you for those referrals that turn into jobs.  Watch for more details about that coming soon!

The insulation and building science industry is ever changing and evolving, so in order to keep up with the changes and improvements, there has to be lots of training.  Insulating isn't just about adding insulation to a house that's loosing heat or having ice dams, there are many more factors that need to be addressed.  One area of training we do is attend Focus on Energy's 4B Conference, which is in the spring of every year.  While there, we attend seminars about energy use, insulating, business practices, and talk with energy consultants, advisors, and contractors from many energy fields around the state.

On area of training we hope to take part in this year is the SPFA's Insulation Certification Program.  Having this certification and training, along with our current safety training and Bayer applicator training, will help us stand out as a credible contractor in the insulation and energy efficiency market.

And the final keyword is expansion.  In the fall of 2014 we were able to purchase and new and larger spray foam machine, which is more reliable in producing quality spray foam for our customers.  This new machine is also increasing our production volume, which, in turn, is increasing our volume of projects that we are able to do.
We are currently working on our office area, which will increase organization and efficiency on the office end of things.

We look forward to seeing our past customers and meeting future ones at the upcoming home shows that we'll be attending this spring and let's make 2015 our best year ever!!

Busy Summer

It's already the middle of June and there's no sign of anything slowing down.  We're seeing an increase in building projects, both residential and commercial.  This is a great thing for all of us!!  Although I'm a self declared workaholic, I do know that if I don't take some time for my wife and kids, they won't be around long.
It's an important thing to take a day off, namely Sundays, just like God when He was finished creating the universe, He rested on the seventh day.  This gives me a chance to hang out with the family, serve in my church, try and catch up on yardwork (not very easy to do that), and just get refreshed for the coming week.

One more important thing to note:  We are in the middle of transitioning to a larger blower trailer, which will increase our efficiency when we pull into a job.  Yeah, right now it's a bit of a mess, but all good things take time when done properly.  Maybe we'll post some pictures when it's totally complete (or just have us come and do some blowing work and we'll show up with it!!)

Home Show Season!!

Well it's home show season in Northern Wisconsin, and with it comes new leads, interested customers, and reassurance from previous customers.

We've already done two home shows this month, one in Medford and one in Phillips.  The picture is of our booth in Phillips which we had many people stop and talk with us.

The first weekend in April we'll be up in Park Falls for the 98Q Country show.  There seems to be a lot of interest in spray foam and needing insulation as a whole north of Hwy 8.

I am starting to enjoy doing home shows because we get to meet a whole bunch of people and interact with them about all of our product offerings and answering questions is always exciting.  Even if a person doesn't need any insulation, educating people about spray foam and what the advantages of it are is always exciting!!

See you at the next home show!!

Here comes the blog...

I'll try and make this as regular as I can with videos, pictures, and great information about insulating and any other fun things that I find.

I was recently at the Energy Center of Wisconsin's Better Buildings: Better Business Conference in Wisconsin Dells (no, I didn't play in the waterpark).  While there I talked to many industry leaders and attended several very informative seminars, some about air sealing, some about marketing and your website, and some about preventing problems and remediating problems with spray foam applications.  I have tons of notes and haven't even gotten to download the speakers slides yet...

2014 is promising to be a great 2nd year in business, between the extreme cold winter and shortage on propane, I believe people will be looking for ways to save on energy that might not be easy to get access too down the road.

If anybody has a subject or topic they would like me to blog about, feel free to contact me and let me know.

Enjoy the week that seems to be the beginning of the end of the snow (although it might last until July in the woods).
